LSSC has embarked on a pilot project to train 500 SC-ST entrepreneurs across India as per a mandate from National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) & National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC). Covering the states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, the training course of 28 hours would focus on 2 roles: 1. Stitcher Footwear (LSS/Q2501) – Level 4 and 2. Stitcher Goods & Garments (LSS/Q5501) – Level 4, followed by final assessment and certification.
Training shall also be imparted on Entrepreneur skill, digital literacy and soft skills and the Training for candidates shall be for 28 hours.

As per NSIC – SC/ST Hub approval, LSSC has scheduled training programs in 4 clusters and 10 batches. Following are the list of clusters with the number of candidates approved for each cluster by NSIC:

LSSC has successfully completed training two batches (100 Candidates) in Jalandhar & Agra following the training plan approved by NSIC. The duration of the training was 4 days with 7 hours of training per day. This was followed by assessments. The assessment report for Jalandhar shows 100% participation from candidates, making it 50 out of 50. In Agra, total candidates present for assessment was 32 out of 50 candidates, as due to the last minute dropouts / absentees, 18 candidates were not present for assessment.
Mandate Parameters
