LSSC and CLRI Join Hands to Boost Innovation & Skills in the Leather Sector

Sh. Mukhtarul Amin Chairman LSSC signed an MoU signed with Sh.K J Shreeram, Director CLRI at KLC Banthar, Unnao . In the presence of Chairman CLE , Regional Chairman and Industry.

The signing ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of the Chairman, Council for Leather Exports (CLE), the Regional Chairman, CLE, and eminent members of the leather industry.

This MoU marks a significant step towards collaborative initiatives in research, skill development, innovation, and technology adoption for the leather sector. The partnership aims to:

  1. Bridge the gap between scientific research and industry application.
  2. Strengthen skill development frameworks in line with global standards.
  3. Promote sustainable and green technologies in leather manufacturing.
  4. Foster capacity building through joint training programmes and industry–academia interaction.

By combining LSSC’s expertise in skilling with CLRI’s leadership in leather research and technology, this collaboration will pave the way for a future-ready, globally competitive leather sector in India.
