Leather Sector Skill Council (LSSC) conducted a certification event for the candidates who have undergone Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) training in different leather job roles under PMKVY. The certification event was held on 28th April 2017, at 3.00 PM at Council for Leather Exports (CLE), HBTU Campus in Kanpur. The event was attended by the leadership team of LSSC along with special guests from CLE and other invitees.

Extending a warm welcome, Shri Ramesh Kumar IAS, CEO, LSSC, invited the dignitaries to be present on the dias and they were greeted with flower bouquets. Shri Ramesh Kumar shared his happiness and gratitude with Honourable Chief Guest, Shri Mukhtarul Amin, Chairman, CLE, Shri, P. R. Aqeel, Vice-Chairman CLE, Shri Shri Prashant Katiyar, Representative, NSDC, Shri Panday, COA Member, Shri Javed Iqbal Regional Chairman (Central), CLE and Shri Rajendra Jalan, Chairman, Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development, CLE for being present on the occasion of distributing the certificates to successful RPL candidates.

The candidates who received the RPL certificates were excited about a new ways to learn and earn through skill development programs. They thanked LSSC for giving them formal recognition through certification and sounded positive about upskilling themselves to acquire higher skills and new knowledge.
